This course will focus on interpreting laboratory results related to Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, and then using that information to make informed decisions about antiviral therapy for patients.  The approach may vary depending on guidelines, the specific patient's condition, and the available medications.  In both HBV and HCV cases, individualized patient assessment is essential to select the most appropriate antiviral therapy. Treatment response is monitored through serial lab tests, and adjustments may be made as necessary. Close collaboration with a hepatologist or infectious disease specialist is recommended for managing these chronic viral hepatitis infections. Treatment guidelines may evolve, so consulting the most recent guidelines is crucial.
