Additional Information

You are invited to attend a Faculty Development Workshop hosted by the Freed-Hardeman University Department of Nursing. Our guest presenter is Keith Rischer, RN, a nationally known author, blogger, nurse educator, and staff nurse. The workshop will provide you with strategies and resources to

  1. Better contextualize theory content to the bedside so students can see why it is relevant,
  2. Better integrate classroom and clinical instruction, and
  3. Emphasize clinical reasoning throughout the curriculum.

The workshop will benefit nursing faculty in both classroom and clinical instruction as
they strive to engage students in a more meaningful way in an effort to improve critical thinking/clinical reasoning.
