UPDATE on monthly NP meetings and Annual Symposium

Posted about 4 years ago by Brittany Hart

Good afternoon WTNPA! I wanted to give an update regarding how Covid-19 is affecting our upcoming organizational activities and how we are trying to adapt just like everyone else during this bizarre time. We have postponed all of our monthly NP meetings until June 1 at this time. We will re-evaluate June 1.

However, multiple drug reps have reached out asking if we would be willing to set up virtual meetings. SOME of the reps have even offered the option to call in and order a meal and have it delivered or pick up to eat while you log in (at home) and watch their webinar. Apparently these would be live meetings and we would have opportunity for Q&A. We will be posting the links and details to these webinars as they become available. So if this is something you are interested in, please check the website and your emails regularly as the meeting times may not always fall on the 2nd Thursday of the month.

Regarding our ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM: The date is reserved for Saturday, August 29. We have an excellent panel of speakers confirmed and have been very excited about our 2020 conference. However, if any of you have planned a conference before, you know we have many deadlines to meet 2-3 months PRIOR to the actual conference date. We have been in contact with JMCGH planning committee, and they are supposed to give us an update next week on whether or not they think it may be safe to proceed with the August date. I will post an update as I know further information.

Thank you all for your service during this time and always. We also are so thankful and grateful for your support of this WTNPA organization, and we look forward to the day we can all see each other again. Stay safe!

Please contact me or Anahita if you have any questions or suggestions.
