Updates for WTNPA

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

We had a great meeting this month sponsored by Axesome pharmaceuticals.  Several WTNPA  things were discussed and voted on, they included:  

1.  Continue scholarship to Union University for FNP  students.  In the summer we donated $500, and as discussed and voted on we donatrd $1000.00 for scholarships to union also.  This is meant to use our funds wisely in assisting with educational needs of nurses' higher education.

2.  We voted to give $500 to the Star Center that works with disabled children and young adults.

3.  $250 given to New Life Union Mission in Dyersburg that helps children with needs.

4.  $250 given to an unnamed teacher who provides from her own funds and donations, to send food backpacks home on the weekends for disadvantage children.

Also we had a quarterly drawing among members present for $200.00. 

We plan on continual funding for future FNP's at Union University on a semester basis.  Union Univ decides how to share the scholarship money.
